The Manor House, a gift from James Johnson to his daughter Emily in 1859, became the centerpiece. In 1921, the Johnson heirs sold the property to William Neal Reynolds, expanding it to 1,100 acres. Mr. Will, added a "Trophy Room," damaged in a 1980 fire but since restored. In 1951, the Reynolds bequeathed Tanglewood as a public recreational park, sharing its beauty and history with the citizens of Forsyth County. Today, the Manor House serves as a guest house, hosting weddings, meetings, and overnight stays.
